1966 MK1 FORD CORTINA GT 2 DOOR HAS HAD ONE OWNER FROM NEW AND IS FINISHED IN RARE SEA FOAM BLUE WITH MATCHING BLUE VINYL INTERIOR WHICH IS IN FANTASTIC CONDITION WITH ONLY A FEW MINOR BLEMISHES ON SEATS. THE CAR RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL PAINT TO ROOF AND BONNET. HAS HAD RESTORATION OVER THE YEARS BUT STILL MAINTAINS ALL ORIGINAL PANELS APART FROM RIGHT HAND FRONT WING AND SILLS, THE TOP PLATES ARE WELDED,(see attached pictures). This example is very straight with good panel gaps, 1498 GT model with remote gear change, standard axle. The dashboard sports the GT auxiliary instruments, rev counter and odometer. A V5C registration document and current MoT test certificate valid until 4th October 2017. Originally Launched by FORD on 20th September 1962. With eye-catching modern styling, it was originally branded as the Consul Cortina until a modest facelift in 1964, after which, it was sold simply as the Cortina but with four trim levels; Standard, Deluxe, Super and GT.
